Andy’s maintains an international food certification. For the past seven years we have achieved the highest rating (AA) through the Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards (BRCGS).

We endeavor to integrate sustainable practices into every aspect of our operations, which include:

  • Environmental Responsibility – carbon reduction, monitoring water, energy, fuel consumption, recycling and conservation, diverting waste from landfill;
  • Health and Safety Standards – safety training and safety management systems;
  • Food Safety Management – foreign object control, food safety systems, food defense, food quality, HACCP.
  • Society – invest in/develop employees. Give back to community.

Community & Global Citizenship

Through strong collaborative efforts and commitment to service, Andy’s has been recognized and honored on numerous occasions. Since 2001, Andy’s has annually received the Salute to Excellence Award for being one of the top 25 African American Businesses in St. Louis. This award is jointly given by the St. Louis American Foundation, the St. Louis Regional Chamber & Growth Association, and the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis.

  • In 2006, Andy’s received the St. Louis Business of the Year award, presented by the city of St. Louis Mayor, Francis Slay.
  • Katherine Anderson received the Minority Business Executive of the Year award for 2000, 2006, and 2009 from the St. Louis Minority Business Council.
  • In 2011, Anderson was recognized posthumously by the United States House of Representatives for her outstanding contributions to the St. Louis business community.
  • In 2012, Congressman Russ Carnahan presented Anderson’s family with the U.S. flag that had been flown over the U. S. Capitol in her honor.
  • Andy’s received honorable mention for the 2014, Keystar Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) Supplier Award Program.
  • In 2015, Andy’s received an award for being one of St. Louis’s top 15 family-owned businesses from the St. Louis Small Business Monthly.
  • In 2016, Larry W. Lee, CEO, received The St. Louis American Foundation’s Salute to Excellence Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Code of Conduct

Andy’s is committed to high ethical standards, and guarantees the following Code of Conduct.

  • Minors: No employment of minors. All employees are over the age of 17 according to minimum age legal mandates.
  • Workplace Health and Safety: Andy’s provides a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Normal Work Week: A normal workweek consists of 40 to 48 hours with overtime limits of 13 hours, and includes one day off for every seven-day period. Overtime compensation is paid in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Compensation: All employees receive a base salary of more than the federal and state minimum wage, and which are comparable to the prevailing industry wages.
  • Respect and Equality: All employees are treated with respect, equality, and dignity regardless of race, creed, age, sex, political views, sexual orientation, or position within the company. We strive to provide an environment that is free from harassment or abuse.
  • Ethics/Compliance: Andy’s company policies describe acceptable conduct for all employees, which govern behavior, particularly for our purchasing, sales, and quality assurance departments. We maintain a high level of integrity and expect the same from every Andy’s employee.
  • Reporting: We have a diverse board of directors, which meets quarterly for regularly scheduled board meetings.
